John G. Horgan

John G. Horgan (1871 - June 25, 1921) was an American professional billiards player, the World Pocket Billiards Champion in 1906, and the world three-cushion billiards champion in 1912.

Biography

He became the 1906 pro world champion in pocket billiards (pool) by beating Tommy Houston,[1] and retook the title in 1912 by beating Joseph Carney.[1] In 1914 he lost his three-cushion billiards title to Alfredo de Oro.[1] He died on June 25, 1921 in San Francisco, California.[1]
